As part of the celebrations to mark the Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 100 saplings were planted at the far end of the playing field. These form part of the national Queens’ Canopy project – a project that planted over three million trees across the UK. The last tree was planted in March 2023 by His Majesty the King. If we are to see these trees mature and provide all of the positive benefits they offer to people and our to environment they need to be nurtured.

So, once again, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

We are seeking families and individuals who would like to ‘Adopt a Tree’ and be responsible for its watering giving it the best chance of survival. In return you will get a label attached to the tree stating that the tree has been adopted by the ‘Smith’ family.

Those interested in adopting one or more trees please email Stratton Parish Council at clerk@strattondorsetpc.org.uk to confirm your interest along with a contact number by 15th June and Councillor Simon Joslin will be in touch with further details.
Thank You
