There appears to have been suspicious activity around the village, primarily centred on the playing field, that may indicate that dog thieves are operating in the area.
A man was observed on the playing field, with a dog lead and no dog, who left the field when he noticed he was being observed and two chalk marks outside a house in the village where there are two dogs. Food, including dog treats have also been left in the playing field. It is understood that these activities are commensurate with the way dog thieves operate.
The Parish Council is contacting the Community Police Officer with these reports and wishes to alert dog owners to this information and to be vigilant over the safety of their pets.
