Stratton Parish Council has received confirmation from the Woodland Trust that they are going to supply the Parish Council us with 105 saplings which will arrive in November.
The types of trees coming are Hazel, Crab Apple, Downy Birch, Hawthorn, and Goat Willow, all varieties that will be able to withstand the wet/damp ground conditions in the playing field.
Later in the year, when the saplings arrive, SPC will be asking for villagers to volunteer to come along and help plant them.
