DORSET COUNCIL has issued a Notice under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. This will allow for barrier repair works to take place.

The notice will come into effect on the 10 May 2019 at 19:00hrs and be in place until 11 May 2019 at 07:00hrs. The speed limit will be in operation between the hours of 19:00hrs and 07:00hrs daily, or at such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs on site. This notice has a maximum duration of 5 days.

The effect of this notice is as follows; [1] To impose a temporary 30 mph speed limit, on both sides of the carriageway of the A37 Stratton Bypass, Stratton from its junction with Dorchester Road, to a location approximately 400 metres North West. The extent and times of the speed limit will be indicated by the signs on site.

Please note that temporary traffic control (traffic signals) will also be used within the temporary speed limit.
