Below is a list of the grants awarded by Stratton Parish Council under Section 137 of the Local Government Act 1972.
Of the eight applications that were received, seven were accepted and unanimously agreed by The Grant Panel:-
Charminster Guides – £50.00,
Charminster Brownies – £50.00,
Stratton Allotment Society – £125.00,
Stratton Children’s Xmas Party-£150.00,
Bradford Peverell Twinning Group – £50.00,
Royal British Legion – £25.00,
Stratton Youth Club – £150.00.
This year the allocation of grant money comprised £450.00 from parish budget, and £150 from planning gain monies
Also, Councillors agreed to pay a further £100 to the defibrillator group, to come from planning gain monies, to specifically to assist with the cost of CPR training to be arranged by the group in the near future.
