Stratton Parish Council has been informed that Highways at Dorset Council has received an application from Upton Specialised Tree Services to close Dorchester Road, Stratton from the junction with the A37 to a point 10 metres to the west (in both directions), a distance of approximately 30 metres.
The closure has been requested to allow Upton Specialised Tree Services to carry out tree works on behalf of Dorset Council. These works are programmed to commence from 08:30, 26th January 2022 until 15:30, 28th January 2022. Upton Specialised Tree Services will publicise the road closure in a number of ways:
- they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works;
- they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works;
- they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network.
