Stratton Parish Council has today learned that as a result of the representations made by the Council on behalf of the residents of Stratton, through West Dorset District Council Planning Department to British Telecom, that the red telephone box in the village has been reprieved and will remain – with a working telephone.   The telephone is not working presently but the fault has been reported and identified as being at the telephone exchange and repairs should be started within three days of today.  Also, BT will be arranging for the box to be cleaned.

Excellent news
