As part of the ongoing efforts by Stratton Parish Council to improve road safety through the village, and in discussion with Dorset County Council Highways, it was understood that for 30mph roundels to be provided on the road through Stratton Village that a Road Traffic Order might be required.  Instead, the Council was expecting ‘Slow’ signs to be painted on the road, which do not.

SPC is pleased to see that Highways have, indeed, now painted 30mph roundels at the ends of the village and at particular ‘pinch points’ on the road through it.

Stratton Parish Council continues to be concerned about irresponsible speeding motorists and has other plans in the pipeline to help and promote road safety through the village.
