A component of Stratton Parish Council’s communication policy is to deliver to every household in the parish information about the parish council, who are its councillors and parish clerk, their details and how to contact the council or any councillor individually. Owing to SPC not having a parish clerk until fairly recently, and still being short of the required number of councillors needed to undertake the duties of the parish, it has not been possible to carry out this section of the communication policy.

However, now SPC does have a parish clerk, and regardless of still being three councillors short of the required seven considered necessary to run the parish, it has been agreed that now is a suitable time for the information outlined above to be provided to homes throughout the parish. Consequently, and very shortly, distribution of this material will take place.

As mentioned above, Stratton Parish Council is still three councillors short of the number designated to be necessary to manage the affairs of the parish. SPC asks that when the information about the council is received, or at any time, residents might consider whether they would be interested in becoming a parish councillor and contribute to the worthwhile task of looking after and caring for our community and its environment. We would be very pleased to hear from you.
